Studio Talks
In 2025, the Studio Talks will be quarterly. They will be on topics shaping arts and culture not just in Regonal NSW but more broadly.
AI in 2025: Where are we at in the arts?
Wednesday, 9 April, 6pm-7pm on Zoom
Our first 2025 talk will be with Dr Ben Eltham. Ben teaches creative industries at Monash University and leads the Save Our Arts campaign for cultural policy. As a critic and arts journalist, he has covered Australian culture for more than two decades for outlets like Crikey, the Guardian, and the ABC. We’ll find out what impact generative Artificial Intelligence is having on the arts. It’s a fast-moving space and a lot has happened in the past year since we spoke with Dr Andrew Frost in early 2024. It's one of the campaign issues for Save Our Arts.

The Studio Co!Lab Talks program provides opportunities for our Studio Co!Lab members and creative partners throughout the year or previous year, to present topics, themes and issues of interest to those with art practices in Regional NSW. The talks are free, one hour and moderated by an Orana Arts team member or guest.
We’re working on our 2025 now, so check in again soon to see what’s up first. In the meantime, check the Studio Talks page, and our highlights reel from 2024.
Highlights of our 2024
Studio Co!Lab Talks Program
Studio Co!Lab Talks put creatives at the centre to be bold, real, passionate, collaborative and excellent.
In 9 talks by 25 creatives, in 2024 we had talks covering the role of arts in creating change and engaging more men in the regional arts sector, to creative residencies, the rules of collaboration, art and science intersections, the role of research in creative practice and sharing stories through song, to the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the arts—and more!
