Men Talking: Men in the Arts.
A question has been raised with Orana Arts about why more men aren't engaged or taking up opportunities in regional arts. We're aware this is not just a regional issue. We know how important the arts are across society, particularly in terms of building connections, as a way of expressing emotions and developing feelings of belonging. This all-male, regionally based panel discuss some very important issues regarding men in the arts. Orana Arts board member, Greg Hall (Newcastle) talks with Mick Davis (Dubbo)and Jamie Derkenne (Little Forest). Kit Kelen (Bulahdelah) was supposed to be part of the conversation but was unable to join due to being on an overseas residency.
This was a recorded Zoom talk on 18 September 2024
