Men Talking: Men in the Arts.
A question has been raised with Orana Arts about why more men aren't engaged or taking up opportunities in regional arts. We're aware this is not just a regional issue. We know how important the arts are across society, particularly in terms of building connections, as a way of expressing emotions and developing feelings of belonging. This all-male, regionally based panel discuss some very important issues regarding men in the arts. Orana Arts board member, Greg Hall (Newcastle) talks with Mick Davis (Dubbo)and Jamie Derkenne (Little Forest). Kit Kelen (Bulahdelah) was supposed to be part of the conversation but was unable to join due to being on an overseas residency.

2021 Studio Co!Lab Talks highlights
In the first year of our Studio Co!Lab Talks program, we presented talks tapping into the issues many regionally based creatives are grappling with in their practices — from how to be a better, more authentic writer, through to managing your time, nurturing creativity, and growing audiences for that creativity. There were 13 Studio Co!Lab Talks in total, and 3 Lounge Series Roundtables hosted between April and December 2021.
