Equitable opportunities for regionally-based artists.
Chair of Orana Arts and visual artist, Diane McArthur recently spoke to us in a Studio Co!Lab Talk about why Orana Arts changed its focus in 2020, and how that’s played out over the past 18 months in terms of providing equitable opportunities for regionally-based artists across NSW. Watch the full talk on our Studio Talks page, or find out more about a Studio Co!Lab membership.
Supporting regional artists to spend time on their art.
In 2021 Orana Arts launched its first round of artist-in-residence programs, forming partnerships with the CORRIDOR project and Stuart Town Advancement Association, to provide places and spaces for regional artists to invest time in their art. The 2022 program is now finished, and we’re working on residency opportunities for the year ahead. These are opportunities created for our Studio Co!Lab members, so join us today.

ON COVID: The arts have been operating under trying circumstances over the past two years. We're having many discussions within our team at Orana Arts and with other organisations in our sector about what life beyond COVID might mean for us all. Like the rest of the sector, we’re considering the issues and our position on them at the same time as we wait for some more certainty from State and Federal Governments. Any position we do take will be about being as inclusive as possible at the same time as protecting our community. In the meantime, any COVID-affected events will be worked through in consultation with all parties involved.
